Anti Flap Kit for Roll Out Awnings
Which awnings will they fit?
This newly developed anti-flap kit is designed for Roll Out Awnings including the Carefree of Colorado, Dometic, A&E and Sunburst. Made to suit the most common rollout awning brands
This product is only designed to fit Roll Out Awnings. It's not suitable for European-style box/cassette awnings such as the Fiamma F45 range or the Thule range. Although we do have other products to suit those.
How do they work?
The pair of aluminium deflapper bars slot together and clamp down along the edge of the awning fabric, eliminating flapping and increasing the structural strength of the awning. Also included in the bars is an in-built sail track which can be used to install accessories such as privacy screens or annexe walls.
What are they made of?
Lightweight but strong powder-coated aluminium
What size do they come in?
Suits Medium to Long Roll Out extensions (2.25m to 2.40m). . This is measured from where the awning fabric attaches to the RV along the underside of the awning to the edge of the roller tube (where the AFK will join).
Can I attach Privacy Screens?
Includes a built-in Sail Track to suit 6mm rope splines (Australian Standard). The Campsmart range of XD Caravan End Wall Privacy Screens, Waterproof End Walls and Awning Porch Extensions are popular accessories designed to fit into the sail track on this AFK.
Does the Anit Flap Kit kit come as a pair or just one side?
Anti Flap Kit comes as a pair (to suit both sides of the awning)
What colours do they come in?
White and Black
Includes mounting brackets
Easy to store - only 1.2m when closed
The installation will require self-tapping screws to attach the brackets to the caravan. These are not included in the kit but are inexpensive and can be purchased at all major hardware stores.
Is there anything else I need to purchase?
We recommend for maximum awning support purchase a set of rafters for your awning in addition to the AFK. The added addition of rafters will create a very stable awning and stop water pooling on the material.
