What to Know About Marks on Your Flat Out Hose

To enhance quality control, many Flat Out drinking water hoses are now water-tested by their Melbourne manufacturer. Through this hands-on testing process, some hoses may show light brown or black markings from contact with the testing mats. These marks vary in appearance but do not impact the hose’s performance or durability in any way.

In the spirit of transparency, we’re sharing this information with you in advance. As with any well-loved outdoor item, marks and signs of handling will naturally appear over time, and we view these as part of a hardworking product designed for durability and reliability.

If you notice the testing marks, consider them a sign of the extra attention your hose received—a mark of their commitment to quality and of a product built to perform.
