Product FAQ - Can I fit an AFK and Rafters in my pole carrier?

Q: Can I fit an Anti-Flap Kit (AFK) and curved roof rafters inside my pole carrier?

A: Yes, but the exact capacity depends on the size of your AFK, the profile of your rafters, the type of pole carrier, and whether your equipment is stored in its storage bags.

• Campsmart 150 mm Round Pole Carriers
  • An AFK and up to two curved roof rafters will typically fit.
  • Three curved roof rafters may fit if they are a slimmer style, but this can be a tight fit depending on the brand and profile of the rafters.
  • Storing your AFK or rafters in their storage bags will increase their overall thickness and reduce available space. Removing the storage bags may create additional room.
  • If you have a short AFK and are using the 2.2 m Pole Carrier, the AFK can generally be stored with the poles joined together.
    
     
• Square Pole Carriers
  • Some square aluminium pole carriers, including products from brands such as Promore Products (sold by CaravanMods), provide more efficient use of internal space due to their square profile than round pole carriers. For example, CaravanMods lists internal dimensions of approximately 144 mm × 144 mm for its 150 mm square pole carrier.
  • Because internal dimensions and designs vary between manufacturers, storage capacity will differ by brand and model. Always check the internal dimensions and compare them with the size of your AFK and roof rafters before purchasing.
