Go through the following steps to see if you can resolve your concerns with an alternation in your set-up. Most of the time problems can be resolved with a review of your set-up.

Do you have the right-sized adapter?

What is the make model and size of your fridge?  Check the maximum output current needed for your device -  including the start-up power draw (which is more than the average operating draw).

If your device requires a higher output than the adapter you are using you will need to purchase a more powerful adapter. g. For larger and/or more powerful fridges, please see our 12.5A Adapter.

Have you checked your connections are working?

You may find it is not the fridge but one of your connection points that has failed

  • Check if the plug and socket are connected
  • Check the fuse
  • Check the power switch on the control panel is on
  • The Compressor starts delay protection 3 minutes after turning on

Have you started the Fridge correctly?

  • You must press and hold the start button for three seconds for the fridge to start. Review the manual for further information

Is the fridge on a flat surface?

The fridge must be used on a flat surface to work

Have you set the temperature correctly?

The left side can not be set lower than the right side

Do you have space around the fridge?

The fridge requires ventilation to run efficiently

Have you packed the fridge too full?

If you are using it as a fridge/freezer make sure the lid can close fully - if not the cold air will circulate into the fridge section and vice versa

Make sure there is plenty of room for the fridge to ventilate. If not, it will have to work much harder/longer.

Do you have an error code?

Please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve based on the code:

  • Code F1 displayed:
Low voltage protection which can be solved by setting the battery
protection button from H to M or from M to L
  • Code F2 displayed:
Fan overload protection. Please turn off the product and restart it
after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of
purchase
  • Code F3 displayed:
- Compressor frequent start protection. Please turn off the product and
restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the
place of purchase
  • Code F4 displayed:
- Compressor is overloaded or working at a low speed. Please turn off
the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again,
please contact the place of purchase
  • Code F5 displayed:
- High-temperature compressor module protection. Please move the
product to a ventilated area and turn it off for 30 minutes then restart it. If
the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase
  • Code F6 displayed:
- No parameter can be detected by the controller. Please restart the
product. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase
  • Code F7 / F8 displayed:
Temperature sensor error protection. Please check the sensor terminal

Are you trying to use a solar blanket and battery setup or similar?

The solar blanket is likely keeping the charge up to the battery to maintain the fridge.

You need a proper battery monitor on a lithium battery, to check the state of charge. At any voltage in the 12v range, it is nearly flat, ie. 12.9v probably only 20 % charge. When free-camping, unless you have lots of input, eg. 350 to 500w input you will not be making enough power to replace what your fridge is using each day by sundown.
So gradually each day your battery gets lower and lower until it trips out on low voltage, at around 12.5v depending on the current load. With a monitor, you can check your input and more importantly your output each day, and then add power by changing from the vehicle or generator etc. if not getting enough solar input, solar blankets are inefficient in winter.
